All jokes aside sometimes this may be how your email box looks. But, you still need to reply to those you have requested to either send something to you or respond to something you sent to them in email.
The “easiest task first” approach would be to go to your spam and sift and delete. Challenge your brain to move a bit quicker in this folder. Let your eyes center on the subject line and scroll down as you sift and delete. Believe it or not you are capable of speed reading here. By the time you read one or two words in the heading; you know what’s junk and what accidentally fell into the spam box.
Now that you have recovered the good email from the spam. Start looking for people and subject headings that arrived within the last five business days in your inbox. Simply open and reply with: I am confirming receipt and my ability to open attachments; once I have had the opportunity to review I will get back to you. That didn’t hurt that bad did it? Nah, and now that person on the receiving end knows that you are a person who follows up like a professional.
When you develop a “Confirm Receipt” system you make others aware of your professionalism and customer service. When you let it hang, however, imagine what they may think of doing business with you don’t respond.
With today’s technology and people’s love of it; business people know if you are naughty or nice and if you are acting like the “Check is in the mail” by the way in which you handle a response to their email, phone message, or text message.
Create your Confirm Receipt system and policy today; you’ll see the difference in business that follows up!
