As I share my reflections with you each week on early Sunday Mornings before I head out to the best house on the street to meet; The Good Lord’s House. I hope to share some things with you that will help you have a better week next week.
Sunday Mornins is my time with you to encourage you to reflect on your past week and analyze it,to learn from it, and to better plan for your upcoming week.
Absorb and release- change-improve, move more efficiently to accomplish more than you expected from yourself last week. As you grow towards your goals this week coming think back to the week you just finished. Name 3 things that come to your mind right off the bat. Write them down in your journal.
Take time to reflect on your past weeks daily activities from work to play. Do it every week so you can keep trotting ahead like a champion.
Reflecting to projecting. That’s the way to make your life stronger, wiser, and to have a clearer site for your path ahead by breaking it down to one week at a time.
This weeks Sunday morning Reflections with: E. Michelle Lee/ subject: Sometimes you just have to encourage yourself!
Sometimes life can truly get to that level where you feel secluded yet relieved that no one else is around at the time to be able to see just how bad things appear. Instinctively, I believe that our nature causes us, not to retreat, yet to more like step back during times that seemingly overwhelm us. However, it is during those lonely, thought-provoking times that we are able to step up our learning and understanding of the given situation that has pushed us to the near breaking point.
If you are struggling and do not have any encouragement supporting you right now; continue reading and BE ENCOURAGED- you are not alone, you can and will get through this……….
Laughter is a great cure for things. It not only helps you shrug off the yukky feeling you may be having at the moment but it will also automatically make you feel humble and grateful for what is great in your life aside from the current mishap. Silliness some times helps to ease the pain of troubles; at least for me it does. Then there are those times when it doesn’t; not even for me.
When those times come; you had better be ready to buckle down and learn how to encourage yourself!
It is no secret that we all have various issues related to this economy and the current state of our Country. No matter, it is our duty and responsibility to keep forging ahead regardless the path we have chosen or from that which has chosen us. When in the analysis phase after the issue has been presented and the research has been done; I am certain you will conclude that; you must go on!
Take this time that you have been given to seclude in thought, action, and deed and come up with a plan to catapult yourself out of it! What will it take to get you through and to the next step? Once you decide what you need; start pulling it together and implementing it. Sounds easy, but it’s not. That in itself is part of the recovery that helps you prepare yourself in order to accomplish whatever task you must to get on with it!
Each of these phases in our lives happen on a continuum; that is how we grow. As I look back over this past week; I realized how grateful that I am to have known such pain that has so eloquently polished me in yet another aspect of my character and strength. I no longer hush adversity for I have learned that while it can be an expensive hard knock type of schoolin- it can also be the cheapest way to learn by default- aka Baptism by fire. Just being thrown right in to learnin as we go!
When we look at these times we are spending in solitude and have no one to encourage us but ourselves; we embark some of the best of our creativity that we find when being forced to look deep and draw upon our given ability to encourage ourselves!
Song of the week: By Donald Lawrence
Have a blessed week and remember that your litmus test for how to encourage yourself, is to be ready to get alone with yourself and remind yourself of the greatness you were designed to be.
