Keeping it going with just a seed and a ray of hope

      There are many times in our lives that we continue to push towards the grain without seemingly even the slightest ray of hope. Yet if we could believe that by our holding on to the tiniest seed of our internal dreams; we can see far beyond in our future the things that will come about and grow into the forest of our accomplished goals.

Look at  people in history; it was in their darkest hours that greatness grew out of horrible circumstances or their failures.  When you feel like your darkest hour has come; hang in there just sounds to simple. But really, it is true; if you stick it out by seeing that the seed/dream inside of you is growing.  You will persevere. When you least expect that your next action will bring about greatness during your challenging times. You will be glad that you didn’t give up on your dreams.

     If are going through a difficult time right now and need encouragement to hang on to your dream. Here is a few things that may help you as it is helping me.

     Take that seed inside of you and hold on to it for dear life. Don’t let it go no matter how many times your failures cause you to want to take the easy route and be done with it.  HOLD ON-

     When you are confused and have nowhere to turn for answers; of course I am going to suggest you first pray about it. I will not deny that I am a business woman who lands on her knees and stays there to pray more often that is standing upright; especially more so these days than in past. Because I know where my strength comes from when all my natural strength is gone. I pray.

Each one of us has dreams. Those dreams came from somewhere don’t you think?  I’m not talking about the ones that are fly by night get me to the next stop kinda dreams. I am talking about the ones that are deeply embedded into our very being. The ones that make you feel like; I have to do this or what’s the use of doing at all. Those are the seeds that lye within us that keep us going, searching for a ray of hope to fulfill them.  They are the dreams that breathe a fresh breath of air in us when we have had the wind knocked out of us.

     When you get knocked down and have forgotten those dreams. Search for them again. You will find your passion and energy by digging a little deeper and strengthening yourself with encouragement that others can’t seem to understand. Look at pictures that remind you of what you are supposed to be doing. Listen to music that uplifts your spirit. Write down how what you dream about will help others. Create a sense of urgency to try something different to approach your dream.  Here is a poem that always has given me a little boost when I don’t feel boosted at all.  I hope it helps you too!

Don’t Quit Poem by anonymous –

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest! if you must; but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up, though the pace seems slow;
You might succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit;
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.
